Aconcagua Expeditions – Different Experiences in the Mountains

In this expedition, we will try to climb Aconcagua of 6,962 m.a.s.l. The highest mountain in America and the highest mountain in the world outside the Himalayas. This Experience makes you the protagonist of the expedition to one of the great mountainsof the world, traveling through the heart of the Andes Mountains with its particular andwild environment. We work so that you live the Experience. An experience that provides confidence and security, framed in a bond of friendship and predisposition. Seeking to encourage the exercise of an active role in the mountains allows connecting with what each one can do and overcome. We work to maximize the little possibilities of comfort, taking them to the limit. We do this so that those who choose us can rest from the responsibilities that the activity implies in a team prepared for that moment. Previous Experience is required. It is necessary to master mountaineering techniques. This is ideal for those who have some experience in the high mountains, in hills that exceed 4,500 m.a.s.l. Like Kilimanjaro, Mount Elbrus, and the Volcanoes of Ecuador and Mexico or in mountains of Argentina like Franke or the San Francisco Volcano. Few know that the Aconcagua mountain is the highest of all those not in Asia, and it is included in the group of the Seven Summits: the highest peaks of each continent. This adventure is usually called Trekking Aconcagua .The origin of its name is uncertain. The possibility is that it derives from the Quechua terms Akon kahuak, which together mean “stone sentinel.” Another opportunity comes from the words of the Aymara Kon-Kawa, which together are translated as “snowy mountain.” Aconcagua is one of the most imposing elevations of the Andes mountain range in South America. Its peak is 6,960.8-6,962 meters above sea level. Between Chile and Argentina, its base extends to Argentine soil and boasts an expansive terrain that culminates with the peak in the entire territory of Mendoza, Argentina. To the north and south is an area known as the Valley of the Cows, and in the west and south, the Lower Horcones Valley can be seen. It is the highest in America, ahead of Mount Denali, and the highest point in the western and southern hemispheres. In reality, the mountain has two peaks, one to the south and the other to the north, connected by a ridge known as the Cresta or Filo del Guanaco, which measures approximately 1 kilometer in length. Its upper surface houses several glaciers less pronounced than Patagonia’s; some are Los Polacos, on the east side; Horcones Superior and Horcones Inferior. Los Polacos corresponds to the most frequented ascent route on this mountain full of crags. The mountain is considered one of the easiest to climb of the Seven Summits. Trying this ascent implies knowing the Aconcagua Trekking phenomenon, where base camp is shared with a community of mountaineers from all over the world who come totry the challenge.
